This was a nice little comedy that lasted for 2 series: 26 half-hour episodes. It was set in the offices of an american mega-corporation. The eponymous Ted ran their research labs and the show is his story, battling the senseless bureaucracy and decisions that large organisations have and make. It's a sort of Dilbert, but with "real" people (c.f the Dilbert cartoon series, which never really lived up to the cartoon strip).
It had a few laugh-out-loud moments, but most of the comedy was from the characters and the situations. The pace was office-slow but the dialog rewarded careful listening. The writing had depth and everyone who's worked in an office fo a large corporation will recognise a lot of the situations. Although the people who loved it thought it was brilliant, too many people (in the american audience) just didn't get it and it was cancelled. it was one of the few shows I'd go out of my way to watch - even the re-runs.
