Trollied - Sky1

Last night (4th of August) saw the first two episodes of Sky's british programme: Trollied. Set in a make-believe supermarket it appears to be a soap, but with a few comedic moments tossed in. And there are only a few and they are only moments and they're not really that funny. The format of the half-hour show (Sky screened 2 episodes sequentially: watch one, get one free? [BTW, that line was funnier than most of the programme]) seems to be to be rather nervous and self-conscious.

Better off Ted

This was a nice little comedy that lasted for 2 series: 26 half-hour episodes. It was set in the offices of an american mega-corporation. The eponymous Ted ran their research labs and the show is his story, battling the senseless bureaucracy and decisions that large organisations have and make. It's a sort of Dilbert, but with "real" people (c.f the Dilbert cartoon series, which never really lived up to the cartoon strip).
