Moving websites is a bit like moving house. I started out with Demon Internet for nearly 10 years, you can imagine that I had accumulated a lot of clutter. Some of it I wanted to keep and some of the dross got ditched. Same with my second hosting courtesy (well, not really a courtesy - I paid handsomly for the privilege) if 1 and 1 when I started using a CMS (Content Management System) for my stuff, rather than just gluing it all together with HTML statements. Now I've moved on to a third provider: all the same features, one-twentieth the cost. So here I am, setting up "home" again at fasthostingdirect. Only this time with far more baggage to haul across.
Some things have probably got lost in the move and some things I'll re-discover as time goes on. So far I've moved over 50 180 of my old email accounts across to here (excluding the 250 or so disposable addresses which all aggregate down to just one.
I've also taken this opportunity to refresh the software, so while I'm still using Drupal, I've rolled forward from Drupal 5 to the latest and hopefully less cranky Drupal 7
